The Race Around The World

The logo of The Amazing Race.  “You are team number one!” Yes, I’m talking about The Amazing Race, the race around the world. The show is already more than ten years old and still standing strong as one of my favorite show. In the latest season-Season 21, a team has the chance to win $2 million, that’s a first in the series history. Teams racing across the world, encounter many challengers, enduring the different weather in different countries, fighting to win the enormous prize money that is offered. Different version of the show appears after the success of the US version; this includes an Asia, Brazil and China version of the show. The one thing that I’m impressed with the show is the fact that we see different views or angles of the race from different sets of cameras. I’m not sure how many cameras are there when they are filming, but definitely the filming crew is a huge team. It takes a lot of time to edit the scenes that are captured by multiple sets of camera. Beijing's "China-Big" Mega-Airport

With a massive of population of 1.3 billion people, you know the Chinese always need big facilities to accommodate such large amount of people living in the country. Despite the Chinese government’s effort to control its population, China’s population is expected to hit the 1.4 billion mark in a few years’ time. Beijing Capital Airport, Asia’s busiest airport had already exceeded the airport’s capacity of 75 million passengers per year. Therefore, a new airport is definitely on the cards given the enormous wealth of the Chinese government generated by the country’s positive economic growth in these few years. The second main airport (third in total) in Beijing will locate in the southern part of Beijing in the district of Daxing. The distance from the city center to the planned area is about 30km. A high-speed bullet train has been planned to transport passengers from the planned airport to the city center in 30 minutes time. The size of the airport is almost 7.5km each side.

The first of the three debates between Obama and Romney was held at Denver on 3 October 2012. I watched the first full debate between two US Presidential candidates for the upcoming US Presidential Election yesterday via youtube. A debate about policies, leadership and new, collective ideas between the current President, The Democratic Party representative-Barack Obama and former Massachusetts governor, The Republican Party candidate-Mitt Romney. They will be debating again on October 16 at New York and October 22 at Florida.  There’s another debate between their running mates which is the vice-presidency debate on October 11, between Joe Biden (Current Vice President, Democratic candidate) and Paul Ryan (Congressman, Republican candidate). First and foremost, I would like to say as a non-US citizens, I have no right to comment on who’s policies or ideas is better or who is the better person to lead US for the next 4 years. But, to be honest, I thought Romney was the one who
