Djokovic's Title to Lose

Yes, the stage is set for Novak Djokovic to finally nail that elusive French Open to complete the career grand slam. If he manage to win at Roland Garros this year, he will become the 8th person (4th person in the open era) in the history of tennis to win the career grand slam, joining an elusive list which include Fred Perry, Don Budge, Rod Laver, Roy Emerson, Andre Agassi, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. The world no.1 player seems to manage to find his form that he produced in 2011 when he went on to win three grand slam titles in a single calendar year. This year, victories at Melbourne, Indian Wells, Miami, Monte Carlo and Rome make him a clear favorite to win the French. Among those victories, he has won 4 out of 5 ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournaments and is riding a 22 match unbeaten streak coming into the second major of the year. The Los Angeles Lakers finished the season with a 21-61 record, the worst record in franchise history. With the upcoming season likely to be Kobe Bryant’s final season, the LA Lakers wants to give their star player the perfect send off. A playoff spot might seem to be a tough task considering how strong the teams in the West are. But certainly, the Lakers wants a bigger improvement in this upcoming season. The biggest problem of this team last season was the lack of talent in the roster. Defensively, the Lakers were ranked the 2nd worst defensive team in the league. Offensively, they were not doing too well either, ranked 17th in the league.
